Flawless Reasoning

Brett is actually talking to his Grandma (Greg's mom) right this minute. He is trying to convince her to come to Disney World with us because she is the boss of Greg. According to Brett I boss him around all the time and since she is Greg's mom she is the boss of him. Hence she should tell him that she is coming to Disney. Brett also said sometimes his dad doesn't even know he's the dad because he isn't in charge. Apparently I am.
*Sigh*
I have taught him well.

Cold and Flu

We have all been passing around colds and Brett was incredibly proud that his school teacher Mrs. J. let him have the box of tissues on his desk for the whole day. :) This week we went to get the flu mist this week and I had a sudden realization as I took all 4 kids to the doctors. I look quite the spectacle. It isn't just that I have 4 kids...it is how they move. They are wanderers and pacers. Imagine a 5 ft x 7 ft room with 2 adults, a stroller, infant, exam table, sink, and three wandering boys. Everywhere you turn there seems to be another child. Makes it seem like more than just three. To make it even better, Brett did not want Abby to get a shot so he attempted to barricade the nurse out. My little protector. I made them all wait in the hallway...they were all a little freaked and when it was done I wish I could have captured Brett's face. Abby cried for a matter of 2 seconds and when I opened the door you could see the relief oozing off Brett's face. What drama we have in a house of boys.

Friends to visit and BYU

Some of our high school friends were in town last weekend and we got together on the boat and had a barbeque before the BYU game. I can always appreciate a good skiier and Spencer was no exception. It may have been cloudy and gray but we have never had smoother water. Spencer really took advantage of it although I think he majorly intimidated me and my abilities. It took me 6 tries to get up on slolam. (I finally figured out I had the rope on the wrong side of my ski...duh?)

We even got Amanda up on the wake board...although we had a hard time figuring out which way she wanted to ride. Regular or Goofy...she kept switching on us.

Rachel, Spencer, and Jackson...missed Annie in the shot. It was so fun to have them stop by from Arkansas. We definately have to plan a trip to Branson with them.

Pirate Scout Day Camp

Brett didn't tell me much about his day but I did find some pictures posted on Facebook and tried to put two and two together. I think they did a skit using random props out of a bag.

I think they tried to pop balloons attached to each others feet. I think Brett may have been one of the last balloons to survive.

I am thinking treasure hunting and sword fighting.

The Arboretum

We had a playgroup at the end of August at the Arboretum. It was $1 days and we all got in for a buck. It was pretty warm but fairly drizzly and we had a great time exploring. They have about 16 mini cottages/houses that are all themed from storybooks. We even had a picnic lunch in a pioneer village.

First Day of School

What a goof ball. Brett started 3rd grade this year at a brand new school. Unfortunately, no bus for us any more. We tried walking the entire way home and realized it was way too hot. I got heat exhaustion and was very sick during the night and the whole way home the boys complained to me and said they hoped I learned a lesson and wouldn't make the same mistake again.

Even though Logan didn't start the same week he has a great new teacher Mrs. S. and the preschool just added on and everybody has brand new classrooms.

Forcast for fun

I thought I only saw forcasts like this in Dixie. This was the entire week before school started. Yowsa!

Poor Abby finally got the sweaty head from sleeping. I had to take a picture or two because it was soooo cute.

Amendment to Logan's saying

Mommy I love you the most cuz you make my ramen noodles right. Daddy makes my ramen noodles wrong so I only love him a little. (hee hee, I am so lucky).
