Logan's Story

Logan wrote a story and drew pictures. This is it...
Noah built an ark. Then he put on the roof. His faily didn't laugh at him, but his friends laughed at him. When the water come everybody had to get in, even the two animals. Everyone was in Noah's ark. Now it was still raining and the water got big and big. And then no one made the cages for the tigers.

Pinewood Derby

After last years first place win the pressure has been on to do as well this year at the pinewood derby. Brett went through several ideas for his car and really wanted to do something original and creative...not just a car. We teased that we could race a block of wood but that didn't work for him. His favorite idea related to a little bit of potty humor and something brown. I told him that was not something appropriate for a cub scout to make. He finally decided on building an eraser. Greg cut it out for him and he painted it and added Logo stickers. I thought it turned out really cute and it even raced well. He ended up taking 3rd place. Two of the final heats were really close but one we got a late start...probably wasn't on the track straight. Anyway, he was really proud of his medal and his cool car. We even raced it backwards but will never know if it was faster forwards. I am not sure if we are looking forward to making 2 cars next year.

Lindsay's Birthday

The day before my birthday Logan surprised me with...

A BIRTHDAY CAKE!
He didn't even know it was going to my birthday the next day. He was so sweet. He even gave me pretend presents like a snuggie and a pink light saber.

Christmas

We made the kids promise no early early morning this year. We did get up by 7:30 but not like the 5:00 a.m. of last year.
The boys were very excited...

I always adore Abby's accessories. She loved her hat and I loved the curls sticking out the back.

Brett got a marble mania toy out of k'nex. He built that thing all day and it is awesome!

I think their favorite thing was the matching snuggies we got them. Here they are demonstrating the many wonderful uses...reading, playing wii, and watching TV. I almost want one myself. It is so cold in the mornings I may have to wear it driving them to school. :) Don't anybody be surprised to see me in a hot pink or zebra/leopard print one.

Brett and Alex both got DSi's from Santa and Logan has enjoyed almost as much as them...They also got lots of power miner Legos and video games. It was a fun Christmas for all.

For Christmas night we went to our friends house. It was wonderful to get together with everybody even though Brooke was still in the hospital on bedrest.

Christmas Eve

We celebrated Alex's birthday with presents and cake and then we did our Christmas re-enactment.

Photobucket The kids all got Christmas PJ's (you can see the boys on Christmas) and Abby had cute snowman all over.

We also got the wonderful present of a white Christmas. It hasn't snowed on Christmas since 1928. We enjoyed the wintery bliss.

Teeth

I am so out of order but oh well, such is life.
This was our attempt on Christmas Eve to have the Tooth Fairy and Santa Clause meet.

Brett lost his first tooth (bottom) on Dcember 18th (at Mekara's wedding reception). Alex's tooth was dangling so we tried the floss but he wouldn't let us pull. It came out a few days later when Grandma P. was here and he was eating chicken nuggets before a movie. Brett then lost #2 (1st top)on Decmeber 30th and then last week at his dentist appointment she said he had 2 weeks to get the other top one out or she was pulling it. We iced it taht night and pulled it out. Yea! Each has one more loose bottom tooth. I have thought for a while that Alex and Brett would lose their teeth about the same time. Little did I know it would be within weeks of each other.
